Recently I checked out Julia Child's famous "Mastering the Art of French Cooking" at the Helena Public Library.  I did so because I read a biography of Martha Stewart and it told me that's how she learned how to cook.  So, naturally.....I had to read it too. :)  I did read it...most of it.  I even made several of the recipes.  I've always wanted to know why my sauces are always lumpy and have been mad at them every time I try!  I figured it out with Julia's help.  Thank you Mrs. Child!  I went a step further, however, and ordered it from my favorite online grown-up's toybox...Amazon.com.  I  not only got the first edition, but I got Volume II as well.  And you know what?  It's been sitting on my kitchen counter looking very new and pretty since it arrived.  I think I moved on to silk flower arrangeing or something.
